LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Make sure that you stay within the word limit set by the paper..

Do not personally attack anyone in the letter. Be clear about the topic and your view of it and/or your recommendations.

Make references to the newspaper and in particular, a specific article.

Check what your market is (audience) and the message (intended response, core of information).

Make sure that you are speaking as a private citizen and NOT as a representative of CMH.

Always include your home address and day time phone number in the letter.

The letters can be sent via hard copy (paper, mailed), faxed or via e-mail.
